1. Introduction

Welcome to SplitEasy. We value your privacy. This Policy explains what data the app uses and how it’s handled.

2. Information We Handle

On-Device Data Only

SplitEasy stores your expense data locally on your device to provide its core functionality. Examples include:

• Group names (e.g., “Bali Trip”, “Roommates”) and creation dates
• Member names you enter for a group (first name or nickname)
• Expenses you log: title, amount, payer, date, and which members participated
• Computed balances and suggested settlements (who owes whom)

No personal identifiers such as your email, account ID, or precise location are collected, and none of your data is uploaded to our servers.

Optional Device Permissions

• Storage/Share (optional): if you export or share a summary you explicitly create.
• Notifications (optional): if reminders or alerts are added and you enable them.

Analytics / Crash Reports (Optional)

Not enabled by default. If privacy-friendly analytics or crash reporting are introduced in future versions, we’ll update this Policy and in-app notices. No expense content (groups, members, amounts) will be included in such reports.

3. How We Use Information

• Display and manage your groups, members, and shared expenses locally
• Calculate equal splits, balances, and suggested settlements
• Maintain app stability and performance (e.g., via anonymized crash data if you opt in)

4. Children’s Privacy

The app is suitable for all ages and does not require any sign-in or account.

5. Data Security

Your data is stored securely on your device using system-level storage. We do not operate any cloud service or remote database for your entries.

6. Third-Party Services

SplitEasy does not share or sell data to third parties. If future versions add optional services (e.g., Google Play Billing for premium features, AdMob for ads, or Crashlytics for crash reports), we will update this Policy and provide clear controls and links to their privacy policies.

7. Your Choices & Controls

• Edit / Delete: Remove groups, members, or expenses directly in the app.
• Clear All Data: Uninstalling the app removes all local data. If a “Clear Data” option is added, it will delete every saved group, expense, and balance on your device.
• Exports / Shares: Any file or summary you export or share leaves your device under your control.

8. Changes

We may update this Policy as SplitEasy evolves. Revisions will appear on this page with an updated effective date.
